Course Description
Fire extinguisher training focuses on extinguishing incipient fires using available tools. Key aspects of this training include understanding the basic requirements for combustion, as well as the tools and methods for extinguishing small fires.
The AS1 training is conducted according to the national training model.
The goal of the fire extinguisher training is to provide participants with the necessary skills to extinguish small fires, thereby reducing the damage caused by fires.
Training Program
The course includes one hour of theory and a practical fire extinguishing exercise, lasting a total of two hours. The practical session includes exercises in using a fire blanket and a handheld fire extinguisher. The minimum age for participants is 12 years. The training follows the content of the “Alkusammutusharjoitus” handbook published by the Finnish Fire Chiefs’ Association.
